Hello here is my engineer goby that jus t passed away today, I am not sure why it passed but I need help figuring it out.

just a few days ago I noticed he was acting strange; by swimming around like lost fish instead of his usual behavior of hiding in his little tunnel until food comes around and he darts out to get a bite. He stayed swimming around the tank ignoring food and showing trouble breathing like he was popping his gills out more. He was definitely off. I’m not very good with color vision so I cannot tell if he has some disease I am not seeing, I noticed a little bubble looking thing under his belly but I not 100% that’s his cause of death. I had this fish for well over a year and half absolutely crushed to see it pass. None of the other fish seem to be acting unusual or showing signs of a problem. I’m think something internally happened?
