My coral beauty just developed some small granular white spots last night out of nowhere. I cant treat him in my reef tank without harming corals. All my other fish are still healthy so I want to get my CB out of that tank today if possible. Can I get some instructions on how to setup a quick emergency qt tank. I have a 10 gallon ready to go. My main question is if I can get that QT tank cycled by tonight somehow? Can I use some water, filter media, live rock from my display tank to seed it immediately? How do I go about this so that I can get CB out of tank ASAP?

If you believe it is ick, which is sounds like based on the granular white spots, you will need to remove all the fish from the tank into the QT. Treat the QT with copper (copper power is best IMO) and let the main tank sit fish-less for 76 days. If you treat the QT with copper then you can use the water from your main tank for the initial fill up. You can buy bottled bacteria to "seed" the QT tank as well. If you move any live rock into the QT with copper than you must keep it for QT or dispose of it and not put it back in the main tank as that will kill inverts and coral.
