I've done a lot of research on this topic, as I'm fighting bubble algae now. Some people have reported that they will eat it, but I think the majority of people have not had luck with them. I dropped in about 6 of them in my tank, and I never saw a single one eat it.

I tried to put in a foxface in mine, and he didn't really touch it. You think that its because the one I put in was a tail spot foxface instead of a true Foxface Lo???

Ok i just got two for my 29gallon, i will update the situation as i go. Any other suggestion that i can incorporate into my 29 gallon biocube. I wish i can keep foxface but too small of a cube.

Even if they don't eat your bubble algae, they are still cool to watch. Are you having a lot of trouble with bubble algae in your cube? If you don't have much established yet, I'd cook that rock, as I've not seem many people actually beat bubble algae.

The one I had was a Tailspot Foxface, I have heard some touch it and some won't.

One more concern. Do they go after snails, because my sand snails usually come out at night.

I had BA, it was in a crack between two rocks. I moved one of the rocks so my fish could get to it and my Yellow Tang tore into it and it was gone I'm a matter of minutes.

Cool, just make sure you get it under control before it spreads. I wish I had done so...

Well, this might sound funny, but putting two emerald only after two hours, they went right to work. Hopefully that will help me with my bubble algea.

WOW you lucky dawg! I have tried sooo many times with these guys and usually they just starve to death before they even look at it.

When you get done with those guys, I'll take 'em I put probably 6 emeralds in my tank and never got them to eat the stuff. Thats just my luck. haha.

I wouldn't get rid of them as I have noticed since my Foxface died that I have some BA coming back, I am thinking there is microscopic roots that lived in the rock when the algae was eaten.

Yeah, i guess, i got lucky. But I will hold my celebration till they clean em out good.
