Yea, I had a few as well as I've always had a problem, never had one eat it either. I've had people suggest adding a Foxface Lo as they apparently gobble it right up.
I have tried them many of times without any success. I did get rid of my BA with the addition of a Foxface Lo though.
Ok i just got two for my 29gallon, i will update the situation as i go. Any other suggestion that i can incorporate into my 29 gallon biocube. I wish i can keep foxface but too small of a cube.
Even if they don't eat your bubble algae, they are still cool to watch. Are you having a lot of trouble with bubble algae in your cube? If you don't have much established yet, I'd cook that rock, as I've not seem many people actually beat bubble algae.
Actually only small bubbles are popping out, so i really didnt have that problem before. They are growing in the form of 2-3 bubbles here and there. I will see if i can get a pic of the situation.
