Do you guys elevate your protein skimmers as a fail safe incase you turn off your return and keep skimmer on? Happened to me the other day - Thankfully I had just emptied the cup!

You could put the return pump and skimmer on the same outlet.

I have it programmed into the outlets.

Good idea! only thing is that if the pump and skimmer are on together the skimmer overflows unless there is a 10 second delay
Well, if you use a smart outlet set you could program one outlet with a 60 second delay.

I have a profilux to do that now, but used to use an internet controlled 4 outlet power brick.

Nope and I've had that exact scenario happen to me a bunch of times, including allow a VERY full skimmer cup to go back into the system. You know what happened? The skimmer pulled all of it back out within a few hours and nothing in the tank seemed to notice.

While not exactly your scenario, I love the feed mode on jebao's. I can press feed mode on my return wait a few seconds then press it on my skimmer (ultra reef with a jebao). this way I wont forget to turn things back on or risk the skimmer coming on earlier and over skimming
