Hi All,
I always say I’ll never do it again, but we all come back, don’t we?

I started this new tank about 4 months ago. It’s a Innovative Marine Nuvo EXT 75 Gallon, with dimensions of 36” L X 24” W X 21” H.

Equipment List
Skimmer- Reef Octopus Classic 150
Algae Turf Scrubber- Clearwater CW-100
Return Pump- IM Mighty Jet XL DC Pump
Powerheads- Two Nero 5’s on opposite ends of the tank, and 1 Jebao Sow-8for behind the rock.
Lights- Two Radion XR15
Controller- Apex EL with 2 Energy Bar 832’s
Water Testing- Apex Trident
Auto Water Change- Apex DOS
Doser - 1 BRS Doser for All For Reef
ATO- Tunze Osmolator
RODI- BRS 5 stage RODI system

This tank will contain primarily Softies and LPS coral. I am trying to set it up with lots of automation because, frankly, I’m at that age where I feel that I deserve it!

I am very fortunate to live in a house that is laid out in such a way that equipment can be connected to this tank from a closet directly behind the tank, AND that closet is back to back with a large laundry room with a sink, so I have lots of space and a husband that doesn’t mind me taking over parts of the house for my personal use. This makes the storage of a 32 Gallon Brute for ATO, two 55 Gallon Ace Roto-Mold containers for mixing and storing saltwater, my BRS RODI system, my DOS for auto water changes, and a sink to drain the old water from the tank and the waste water from the RODI system quite easy. I have two 4” access holes between the 3 rooms for electrical cables, sample line for a Neptune Trident, RODI lines from the DOS to the tank and the sink. Well, you get the idea.

In the future I may attempt to make everything a bit neater, but….probably not! :)

Here are some photos.

The tank itself

The Rock is Marco Dry that I fused together using powdered Marco Rock and then added Extra thin Super Glue to. It fuses instantly and also burns your fingers…learned this early in the process.

I wanted a somewhat open scape but still with enough hiding places for the fish.

At the moment I have the following

Fish in the tank.

2 snowflake clowns
1 Flame Angel
1 Starry Blenny
1 Midas Blenny
1 Royal Gramma
1 REALLY SMALL Tomini Tang

Inverts include

2 Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
6 Blue Legged Hermit Crabs
An assortment of Snails including
Trochus, Nerite, Nassarius, Cerith, and 1 Fighting Conch
