I friend gave me a mat of pink clove polyp which I put over a piece of rock. When I relocated the mat of clove polyps to a different tank I noticed something that I didn’t see before. Not sure what it is, almost looks like a small Duncan coral ?

You would eliminate the same way as aptasia.
Some reefers as tanberav stated do collect a couple until they get crazy in numbers. I personally dont keep any as I want tank pest free.

Good to know, I’ll be removing it since I plan to turn that setup into a frag tank.
And if it's Duncan, when you disturb it a bit more, it will retract to the level of the stone base-skeleton, then you will see is it duncan or Palythoa, or Majano like @Tamberav mention.
Can't say what's exactly at the moment, if you keep eye on it you will figure it out, if it start to spread faster, it's Majano, and you can take it off on time.
