I recently purchased a favia frag called dragons soul on a bit of a whim. I had a favia before when my tank was not yet matured and I liked it but it never grew and eventually fell victim to an anemone. Anyways, two years later here we are and I figured I’d try my hand at it again. After buying I was reading about how it can be such a slowwww grower for some people which disappointed me a bit. However, much to my surprise in less than one month it has shown some pretty solid growth! I’m running a bio cube 32 with standard lights, no real feeding or dosing routine except aminos a couple times a week. The first pic is from January 6th and the second is from today. Just some hope for others like me that Davis’s can sustain good growth and it probably depends on the individual coral more than anything.
