I’m thinking about starting to dose my tank. Looking for more optimal growth for the corals I have now. I was on the Red Sea website and for the tank size I have now this is what they suggested I do. Currently running a evo 13.5. Does anyone suggest with such a small tank to even bother with dosing?

Depending on how well stocked your tank is, dosing is definitely a great idea but man that’s a LOT of dosing.

What do your parameters look like now? I’m a big fan of simple dosing using all for reef and a little bit of bacteria. Much easier.

Depending on the size of the tank. I’m another vote for all for reef. It’s so simple especially for my 5g. I see you have a 13.5. I think you’d love the ease of all for reef

The verdict is out on whether or not it’s going to be economical for my 80g I may or may not use it. For now the plan is to switch over to the powder version for the 80g. Right now I’m using the expensive liquid version because I only dose 1.5ml a day

I use AFR for all my tanks including a 250 gallon system and a 115 gallon system plus 3 smaller ones. I find it extremely reasonable particularly since it maintains the big three plus trace elements. Using the powder version.

The powder is very cost effective on my 75 gallon. I do use it in conjunction with BRS 2 part to tweak every once in a while

I’ll have to test my water tomorrow and get a good reading at what my levels are. Looks like AFT is the go to move. Do you guys normally dose one time or do you split it throughout the day?

You don't need most of what you listed in a small reef. Water changes, AFR and small amounts of AB+ is all you need. I dose a quarter amount recommend for AB+ and my nutrients are stable the coral color and growth are great. I do 30% water changes every two weeks.

I do eventually plan to get a new tank. I want something bigger like a reefer 250 or something on the lines of tank size like that but for now I want to maintain this tank and get things growing and bring out the colors more

Once you get this tank dialed in and figure everything out, it easily scales up on a larger system
