These snails are everywhere in my tank in all kinds of sizes and appear to only be active at night. Are they coral pests or beneficial hitch hikers?

you mention different sizes. are they still relatively small (perhaps 1/4 inch?) i am thinking collonista snail if they're all mostly under 1/4in.

It is collanista and these multiply quickly in many cases
Slow to clean algae but good workers
