Does anyone know if its possible to transport livestock in the EU?

Hi,

I had to travel with my livestock from the UK to Poland via bus, has anyone heard anything or had any experience with such transportation?
I have to move back now, and I was thinking of sending a package via the same bus company, however, the company was extremely dodgy, they assured me I could transport my livestock with no issue, but I think I was just lucky as at the border no one checked my bags.

I will be grateful for any information on this matter.

I have a feeling that the authorities are more concerned about detonating devices than leaking fish bags. Personal aquarium fish and coral ( not fish TRADE quantities) is suspected to be something else?

I have not traveled in EU but this has been my experience in other parts of the world.

My wife can tell you a few of the things and humiliations she has witnessed when traveling with me and my collection(s). I have dropped my pants in the security line often to get their hands off my junk because they thought I had something curious in my/our possessions. I have also seen big smiles on security guards who appreciated the things I was bringing home for my collection. I prefer to travel solo because I always got more scrutiny with the family in tow and each of them had a huge suitcase….

Opening up the containers at the bus station early before they are loaded is the best way to remove suspicion and prevent people from wondering.

Wondering if is a huge signal to the police to search everything, again why I prefer to travel with the family. Hth.
