Hi my green montipora cap isn’t looking so great any suggestions? All my water parameters are great. We did have a nitrate spike reading 10ppm last week because of a sump leak we had to fix. So some thinks got kicked up but we are fixing it with water changes. Picture 1 is from January 29, picture 2 is February 11th, and picture 3 is today’s.

For the flow we have a lot of flow not sure how to measure that for you guys but I’ll try to add a video. We increase the flow every 2 hours then decrease once we get to the highest flow throughout the day.

Still lots of unknowns here but: Did you get the frag around 1/29, if so acclimation issues should be looked at, 2 week window is common for things to go south if your parameters are way off from where the frag came from. Green montis are pretty hardy but I would look into what you're LFS params are if you go to an LFS or ask for Params from whatever coral dealer you get from online. Lastly are your parameters great every day? I don't mean to be cheeky with that statement but check to see how stable they are. Ive had this problem in my own personal experience thinking my chemistry was awesome but it was just awesome that day/hour I tested it.... :/

We got in on Jan 12th and we test 1-2 times a week. And we track it with the Aquarimate app on my husband’s phone. We got all 4 monti caps at the same time but the others are doing fine and growing a little

I dont see issue with nitrate at 10. Assure moderate light and moderate/medium water flow
Assure alk isnt elevated and CA isnt low. High temperature and salinity will cause this as well as elevated Phosphate

Did you start them low? Could be light acclimation stress. I had a green Montipora like the one you have that had a little hole in the center from shipping stress. Came back after a couple weeks and filled in.
We actually started them for a week on the back of the tank where you can see the neon frag plug holders in the picture. Just to make sure the light wasn’t too much.

Yes, that is what I ordered from WWC called

Tyree Aequituberculata Cap Montipora

No, don’t know the par. Haven’t gotten the par meter. Our LFS had the same lights and we got them we we 1st got into the hobby they are Arctic T247 and have the white light I run @ 7 from 9am to 10 pm and blue @40 from 6-10 so I would imagine pretty low par in general. Po4 have been @0 for since mid December.
