So I’ve seen a lot of local fish stores, traveling around, but I’m so grateful to have these guys in my little area of the Midwest. Coral Haven. The owner worked at another LFS for years until he got fed up with the BS and decided to open his own hobbiest-centric reef shop.

He regularly puts out instructional videos on Facebook and isn’t afraid of losing sales to do the right thing, or offending brands or suppliers that try to sell downright crappy or dangerous products to us. The owner has integrity, which seems rarer to come by.

This store deserves a shout out, and if you’re ever in Bettendorf, Iowa, please support them. Their business thrives with local reefers because they are us, and they give a dang. Posting a link to their most recent video.
