What dosage is recommended for acropora white bugs?

I’m using interceptor. Each tablet is 23mg.

My tank volume is 260 gallons.

Never mind. I did some research on the forums. Looks like it’s 1 tablet, or 23mg per 100 gal. Treat once a week for 3 weeks. No skimmer, activated carbon,UV, nor Ozone for 24 hours after dosing.

At least that’s how I’m going to do it.

Hope it works! Let us know how it goes.

Here’s so data I collected a while back:

Interceptor dose:

1 large dog tablet (23mg per tablet) per 400/G. Turn off Skimmer and UV. Remove GAC. It is recommended that you complete three treatments, each one week apart. Following each treatment you are to watch for signs of stress in your aquarium, and perform moderate water changes (10-25% after each treatment). [Some people do not do any water changes until after the treatments are completed.]

*Charlie’s Frags (R2R) is dosing 46mg to his 50/G SPS tank which is 11X the recommended ORA dose, and he’s not having any issues with SPS.

*Dustin Dortin (ORA) recommends 8.40-8.60mg per 100/G or 33.6-34.4mg per 400/G. This is slightly more than the typical 23mg large dog tablet that is recommended per 400/G.

What does Interceptor kill?

Anything considered a Crustacean such as Shrimp, Crab, Barnacles, etc…will be in danger.

*A significant amount of pods will die, but if the dose standard, people report 50% or less. Higher doses kill a larger percentage or could wipe them out completely.

*Peanut worms weren’t affected.

*About 75% of Bristle Worms will likely die.

*Several have claimed all of their Blue Leg Hermits died (remove all hermits possible).

*Shrimp will most likely die unless the dose is lower. (remove shrimp if possible).

*Also consider if you have a “mandarin dragonet” that relies on pods to survive (maybe move to another tank).

Move anything to another tank that you want to keep, but also to prevent or minimize a nutrient, ammonia, or Alk spike. One guy reported his nutrients dropped, and alkalinity remained about the same.

[Caution ⚠️ advised for this dose]

A fish vet recommended 75mg per 30/G. He said to leave it in the system for 6 hrs. (This is one the highest dose I’ve seen yet.)

Other doses:

Red bugs: (1) 23mg tablet per 400/G

ORA recommended 8.40-8.60mg per 100/G or 33.6-34.4mg per 400/G.

White bugs: (6-7) 23mg tablets per 400/G. 138-161mg per 400/G.

Grey bugs: (6-7) 23mg tablets per 400/G. 138-161mg per 400/G.

Black bugs: (6-7) 23mg tablets per 400/G. 138-161mg per 400/G.

(Bugs apparently need the highest dose)

@Charlie’s Frags

Any differences since then? Any negatives, positives, or dosing modifications?
The only change I’ve made is I got my hands on sentinel which appears to have worked better at preventing future infestations. I haven’t needed to treat the tank again so far.

I’m planning on adding 92mg in my 260 gallon tank. That is 4 large tablets.

It appears white bugs might be harder to treat.
