I just bought a yasha goby and candy cane pistol shrimp for my nano who instantly paired up as expected. They started making their burrow in the back of my tank in a spot that was unexpected. Just wondering if they move spots or it's permanent since they chose a spot that is very difficult to see even from the side. Also if they don't is there a way to have them burrow in a preferred spot? Whatever the case may be they are super cool, yuji the goby and Todo the pistol shrimp

They are going to dig where they like, and the first place is going to be where they feel safe. If they decide to move up front later, then they will. Be nice, feed them where you want them and maybe they will get the hint?

Like put Food in the front to entice them forward? Or just let them be, hoping with feedings the food makes it back there

Once they get used to you feeding them maybe try a different spot that you like for them, if you want?
