After going to replace the tubing in my pumps I found out that it is rather difficult to find tubing for the vertex libra, and there is a cost penalty for the bubble magus tubing. If you are looking to replace here is what I found.

short version:
  • Libra (DC version):
    • size is 1/8" ID and 1/4" OD Tygon E-LFL.
    • this is available at McMaster Carr under "High-Flex Tygon PVC Clear Tubing" part number 55485K72 with a 2' minimum totaling $10.34 + S/H
  • Bubble Magus
    • 4MM OD with 2mm ID Pharmed BPT
    • I can't find charmed in metric so I'm trying a different tube: Laboratory Clear Tygon R-3603 PVC Tubing 5347K21 25' minimum which is $16.25 + S/H

Vertex Libra - DC motor (not stepper):
removed head and cover (little tab at the bottom of the head after you take the cover off). motor is a WPX1-L1/8M4-J4-R by welco.

the pump configurator is here:
WPX1-L1/8M4-J4-R:
  • WPX1 - series by welco
  • L - suspect the "L" designation was changed to "EL" after the LVL was obsoleted to with the E-LFL.
  • 1/8 - ID of tube (1/8")
  • M - brush motor
  • 4 - 4 rollers
  • J4 - Connectable hose sizes (OD) 1/4inch
  • R - Red color

to confirm one of the factory tubes read Tygon LFL.

size is 1/8" ID and 1/4" OD Tygon E-LFL. this is available at McMaster Carr under "High-Flex Tygon PVC Clear Tubing" part number 55485K72 with a 2' minimum totaling $10.34 + S/H

There is some great info here on the tubing materials (also attached a picture): https://www.welco.net/product/wpx1/wpx1_structure.html

bubble magus:

For the bubble magus my tubes were shot so I caved in and ordered 3 new ones from seasideaquatics since I needed a new board for my BMT01 anyhow. That still leaves me needing more tubes for the BMT-02

FYI: They are available for less than I paid here: https://premiumaquatics.com/products/bubble-magus-dosing-replacement-tubes-connector-3pcs.html

The tubing is Pharmed BPT with a 4MM OD and 2MM ID. alas this is hard to find in metric sizing. The only tubing offered in metric at McMaster Carr is Laboratory Clear Tygon R-3603 PVC Tubing 5347K21 25' minimum which is $16.25 + S/H

Note: I did read in a few places that 3603 was good for NOPOX, though red sea responded by saying silicone was good and not to use polyethylene. This is PVC, no idea where that falls relative to NOPOX
