Your tank looks great! The 4' height adds a lot to the viewing experience. I really like seeing that vertical dimension in the aquascape. Has it been worth it you, considering the added difficulty the height presents for maintenance?

I’ve had lots of tanks over the years and nothing 4’ deep. I wanted to do a mixed reef with SPS on top and welcomed the challenge the 4’ depth presented. Once things encrust it’s fantastic!! Reef walls and rock stack goes on for days and the fish love it!! Not so fun picking up frags when stuff is new and gets knocked down! TOTALLY WORTH IT!!

The time has come to build out another sweet large reef.

Here is my last one: Anderson Family Reef - 1200 Gallon Reef

This time I will build out an in wall 720 (8'x3'x4') and a 740 (9'x4'x33") in the fish room.

how do you like aquarium engineering equipment ????

So awesome! I am always envious of people who have the space for monster systems like this! Talk about having a slice of the ocean in your home!!

Eviction may be harder than you think. But I agree, he is clearly not holding up his end of the bargain. Hope you had an ironclad contract that he signed when he took up residence.;Hilarious;Hilarious;Hilarious

Hehehe - I’m sure he’s a union worker, I’ll just document, train and cross my fingers!! (He’s actually super fat! He does work hard)

Absolutely incredible! Everything; the tanks, livestock, equipment, craftmanship - you're a man of great talent.
I just recently started my first build with a second hand 90g and that's a daunting project to me, this makes it look like a breeze! Something to aspire to for sure. Got any advice for a newbie reefer?

Thank you for your compliments! :)

My advice is to automate what you can and keep it simple. Stick to a regular maintenance schedule and take your time. Spend good money on your Skimmer, Lights and Flow! Join a local reef club and make some local reef buddies! Most of all HAVE FUN!!

These guys have been together for a long time! Traveled last week and didn’t feed as heavy, they started to battle and are going to the death! Check out the gash on the side of the yellow! I was able to catch the yellow and move him to the sump for recovery

Traveled last week and ended up having a different feeding schedule. Think it created some scarcity and some aggression with the zebrasomas even though they have been together for over a year with no problems. I was able to catch the yellow and move him to the sump for healing!!
