Trying out some CB yellow tangs… they are tiny!! Probably need 6 months in the holding systems before I add them to the show!

Biggest tang gang on R2R, they’re running things around here lol. Epic.

Basically every tang besides Achilles, Chocolate, Blochii/ringtail and a few rare ones. LOL.

I have a seasoned Achilles coming soon hopefully from a great guy in CA who's downsizing his tank. Can't wait.

I find that the Zebrasomas tend to just kill eachother off over time. My purples are huge and took out many of the other zebrasomas (I'm now replacing them with small ones) including my black tang!

I am a huge tang, big tang fan for sure!! Love to find a humpnose unicorn and a humpback unicorn tang for the tank one day... I'm on the lookout for those two... ;)

Thanks for chiming in!

Cut in a relief valve to the frag tank manifold so I can isolate the 300 gallon barrel and start to do some small weekly water changes…

Inside the 300 gallon barrel with float valve, drain and return…

300 gallon inline water change barrel…

This is one thing I didn’t have room for or wasn’t able to dial in with all the other gear in my existing space… I can put a 1000 gallon water change barrel outside and plumb it in… with the Utah winters I will have to build a temperature controlled room around it so that has to wait for now.

Excited to start these little water changes and see how it goes.

I have high po4 and Nitrates still and some of my elements are low so small weekly water changes it is for a while!

To date I have not done any water changes on the system outside 5 gallon buckets of siphoned cleaning water and it's replacement.

Here is a video of the tank yesterday:

Love seeing Anthias! you going to add more?
I’d like to but they are tough to keep… two of four made it through QT and I’m afraid they will not get enough food in the display with all the giant pigs in there.

I have been overfeeding the system a few times a day for weeks now to try and get them to transition at a cost of high nutrients in the system. I can see the effects of the feedings in the SPS overall health… right now seems like they are surviving but not thriving.

I do love fish so I’ll keep working on finding that balance.

My wife loves them and they really stand out in there against the 8 foot tall back reef wall!!
