BKChem Footloops

That is one of the brightest pieces I have in my display. Sadly, it seems to have stalled a bit in there after going gangbusters in my frag system. I guess it misses the kalk reactor in my frag system, as the chemistry is otherwise pretty much the same.

It’s the only BKChem coral I’ve been able to keep alive. Mine stalled out as well, but it’s growing again now so I’m hopeful! Mine stalled because I clipped off a piece and glued it next to it. It’s a trick that works for some acros, but this one let me know it didn’t appreciate it.

WWC Ding Dang Milli

Relative to tenuis (and many other acro species), do you find Milli to be particularly susceptible to any specific pests or conditions?

I manage to keep all the other difficult acro varieties long term (smooth skins, tenuis, deep water, etc) but have a lot of Milli mortality. Sometimes they just stall after growing well. Sometimes I will have a baseball size colony that just goes white while everything else just ticks along.

My Ding Dang doubled and then just went brown right beside a HW that just kept marching. Any clues?

Personally, I don't find them any more difficult than other acros. For the most part they are light hogs where other acros can do better in lower light. When my RMF Acid Trip got shaded by my Sapphire, it started to STN. I find once they start to STN, there is really no stopping it. It's like a slow horror story that makes you feel crappy for weeks...

But as long as they have high light, high flow and other corals not touching them, they tend to do well. I haven't had pests, so I can't answer that question.
