Discoloration or Decay on Coral?

noticed this discoloration or decay on my coral any ideas whats happening?

Do you have any pictures of it during photoperiod or a time when it was “healthier” for comparison

Unfortunately I do not. I recently had to get a new phone and photos were wiped. However the rest of the coral looks alright other then what looks like a white patch a dark hole

My first inclination would be that spot is getting shaded so the tissue just dies off from lack of light. It looks like a branching monti, I’d be on the lookout for montipora eating nudibranchs for good measure. How long have you had this piece?

Any chance is has anything to do with my spinoid worm outbreak im dealing with? Still haven’t found a good way to get rid of them. And this piece has been in the tank for approx 1- 1 1/2 years
