Sigh…

Filled my first 250 gallons of rodi today with my new mixing setup. While I was at dinner it filled, float valve kicked in but I forgot to tape something and about 5 gallons leaked while I was eating. It splashed near the pump getting the (gold) pump wet. This unit worked flawlessly when I wet tested it yesterday with tap water. For whatever reason I turned the pump on and it clicked for about 10 seconds and now it just doesn’t do anything when I plug it in. I’ve got a fan on it to dry it. The Iwaki I’ve been using forever and that thing would work in a rain storm. Did I nuke this thing?

I forgot to put teflon tape on a connection and it leaked. The water level raised and activated the float valve. The leak was part of the float valve assembly. The actual cause of the leak isn’t really important though. I’m thinking I just burned up a brand new pump.
