Can DI resin remove chlorine?

When testing if carbon is exhausted is it necessary to test the water pre-input into ro membrane for chlorine? Or is it okay just to test waste water from membrane?

Yes DI resins will remove chlorine but it damages them much like the RO membrane.

To test if your carbon is exhausted, test for chlorine pre membrane or in the waste water from membrane.

Thanks is a test which measures from 1ppm accurate enough?
You should be fine with a pool and spa application total chlorine kit.

This will tell you combined chlorine and chloramines.
Use a free chlorine kit to differentiate chlorine from the total chlorine test results.

I usually dont see total chlorine under 1ppm so it should work.

Just checked my water supply report and it is less than 1ppm, shall I get a higher accuracy test or is that level negligible. And I should just change carbon annually?
