Do the polyps have stripes on the outside when they are closed up? I got some palys at the MASM swap and they werent what I had ordered but look alot like the Foxes or something similar. I'll get a pic when the lights come on tonight.

here's mine when I got it from mschriskim...

I recently lost them though... they develop the brown film and started withering away.. I cannot understand some of these zoas/palys.. I had some RPE's do that but developed new heads.. they're currently really tiny but getting bigger everyday.... I hope the Desert Fox are just doing the same... hate to lose 'em..

Man, Norman, those are nuts.... Love them!!!

Tracey, imo, the skirt is what really makes then DF. Is yours the two toned kind? I can't really tell in the pic.

Marvin how are the ones I sent to you doing? Did they make a full recovery?
The "pearl" paly you sent has sprouted 5 babies already lol, shes very fertile!

-Chris

I agree with those Ocean Pearls.. seems to bud 4-5 polyps at a time..

Aww shoot, I was noticing the skirts on mine and they do in fact have a green band. I keep mine in high light (250 watt Hamilton) if that helps any.Im going to be fragging a bunch of stuff in my big tank to put in my Finnex since its ready for stocking ! The light is a 14k phoenix so Im pretty sure they will really pop once accustomed to it.

Laurie - they look like they may be a little faded but they do have the two different colors in the skirt. Going to move these up and see if I can get them to color up. Although in my tank zoa morph like crazy - my ones with the blue ring morphed into red rings. LOL

Yup yup, Rommel was the Desert Fox because of his invasion of Africa for Germany, wasn't he? Too bad he didn't get the relationship between flies and dysentary... Flies 1, Rommel 0.

:D
