My hours of research and video watching has led me to these two tanks as my first mixed reef tank set up.
If you experienced reefers were just getting started, and knowing what you know now, would you go for the AIO (e170) or full reef setup (XL 200 G2).
In either scenario I would likely start with the basic filtration set ups and upgrade over time. If I ultimately think I’ll go full sump, XL 200 has to be the no brainer, right?
Both seem ready to run out of the box for full cycling start up, (save main pump on XL 200) giving me some time to upgrade and stay engaged during the long initial cycle.
but like I said, I’m new to all of this, so wanted to turn to you experienced folks ti Make sure I’m not overlooking anything!
