Ok breathe...

I got home from work and was told that my wifi was completely reconfigured because my daughter's iPhone was having trouble connecting from the other end of the house???? SO NOW I CAN NO LONGER ACCESS MY APEX. It is brand new, i finally started setting up this past weekend and now... UUUUGGGGHHHH! Is there a thread or can someone suggest what I need to do to get a connection? I am barely sure where to start.... i n0 longer see it as Apex_XXXX, which I expected, Please for the LOVE of an Aquarist. Where do I start over?

PS: the iPhone is no better!!!! Duh....

I have the older Apex, so it might not be the same, but every thing me the power goes out and the Apex resets faster than the router, I have to unplug the Apex from the system, then plug it back in. Maybe something similar is happening to you?

They changed the wifi network name. They changed the passcode. I am dumbfounded at the moment, not to mention a little bit aggravated!!!

Have you gone into your network setup and put the new info in? I know with the classic, it needs to be setup through the display unit. Not sure with the new one because you have no display unit, unless you ordered one with it. Either way, there is a network menu where you put in the SSID and password.

My only access to the Apex is through the wifi on my laptop. I cannot even get to network settings. Can i go right from the Apex to the laptop with ethernet or do i need to go to the router first?

You should be able to go through the Ethernet connection the way you did when you set it up. Do you recall what the IP address was before?

Funny how that happens. My sister in law came to visit and her phone wouldn't connect to our router. Instead of asking me, she messed with it and literally the router broke. Why touch it when we have 10 devices that connect just fine? Baffles me.

when i set up this past weekend i connected my initial connection through wifi. I did not use ethernet to start. i do not have the IP. The Apex controller is Orange as if it is connected, but I cannot see it through my phone with an ethernet connection or any device that was previously connected. The Apex has the old wifi network information and I cannot get to it to make any changes.

I believe there's a way to to hold the reset button for 3secs to reset the WiFi connection and then go back through the local set up just like when you first set it up.

Holding the reset button with a paper clip for 5secs should reset it to the blue WiFi connect and go through the local setup, like when you set it up for the first time. I just tried it on mine and it allowed me to relogin.

This happened to me too, but I couldn't connect when it was in blue mode. I emailed support and they knew that the problem was. I had changed my Apex's name from "apex" to "65GReef." so instead of going to setup mode with http://apex.local I had to go to http://65GReef.local to reconfigure my Wifi.

I have the 2016 WiFi Apex. I could not access Apex after a fusion update didn't apply correctly. I couldn't connect and using the reset button didn't seem to work. I unpluged the everything from the APEX and took it upstairs so I could connect it via ethernet. I was able to connect. Finish the update. Reboot. Then it came back to WiFi.

Did you get it working? I had a 30 min tech appointment with Neptune yesterday to get mine back up and running. My apex was corrupted but we still had to run through every other possible thing before trying to reformat the Apex (and losing all the code).

Hopefully you got it working!
