Hi All,

Have just started my Waterbox 70.2 Reef yesterday using the ATM Colony route.

Wanted to get an example of how peoples parameters read daily for the first week through using this route as i have not seen this anywhere online and want to get a view of how this approach has worked for others.

I have stocked 2 x Occelaris Clowns (from my Fluval Evo) and 1 x Royal Gramma and in the tank I have Carbisea Life Rock (20kg), Maxspect Nano Tech Bio Media 2 x Plates & 18KG of Caribsea Live Sand Fiji Pink.

Clowns and Royal Gramma were added, followed by 660~ml of ATM colony (as per dosing instructions) and then given a light feed of pellet.

Day 1 (Test taken 8 hrs after introducing livestock) - Testing with Red Sea.
0 Ammonia
0 Nitrite
0 Nitrate
1.026 Salinity
25.5 C - Temp

Day 2
0 Ammonia
0 Nitrite
2 Nitrate
1.026 Salinity
25.5 C - Temp

Look forward to seeing your parameters whilst cycling with colony. thanks for your help.

I can’t give you the parameters as I didn’t test them, but I’ve used it twice, the last time with 5 very large bottles in my new system

It just works as advertised as long as you follow the instructions which are fairly basic, add colony and then add fish.

I put around 30 small fish in on day one, but it’s a big system.

Welcome to R2R as well!

I have exactly the same Waterbox and am using ATM colony. I'm on Day 13 of the cycle and have the following readings on salifert test kits

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0.5
Nitrate - 25

I added two small oscellaris clowns and a cleaner shrimp. Should I be worried that nitrites are still reading this high? When do I do the first water change?
