Cubed Ocean WB 60.2

Ordered Marine X 60.2 on Blue day (Nov 2nd, 2023)

Today (January 18th) I received a tracking code. The shipment is going to arrive Tuesday, January 23rd.

My current tank (WB 10) will be transferred to the 60.2.

Got some spare time on my hands tonight, making as much salt water as I can. Very tight on space with my condo (850 sqf) so I’m using a collapsible laundry bin that can hold 10 gallons.

Tomorrow I get the tank!

After careful thought and consideration, I decided to go with Caribsea dry sand rather than “live sand”.




First Rinse

15th Rinse

30th rinse….

Took a very long time (3 hours or so) of stiring the sand constantly. Second to last rinse will be dosed with prime and the last rinse will be with RODI water tomorrow morning.

It arrived four hours late but that’s okay…

The stand was the absolute worst thing in the world. I ended up breaking two pieces, one guide latch for the bottom of the frame, and the sump middle board which cracked a corner… super glue works the greatest.

Everything was up around 11 pm at night. Did a few stand test and noticed the tank was still very wobbly. I took everything a part and really re built it.

around 2 AM I noticed a strong leak under the main drain pipe…

Was a pain the fix but I eventually got it.

I transferred everything from the 10 gallon into the new tank. (Sorry no pics) was literally 4AM… and glued the corals to the spots that I saw fit

The anemone would get off the rock from the 10gallon so I threw him in there with the rock.

Long story short, the night of my heater malfunctioned and cooked my tank...

I lost the following:

My one wall hammer is a TBD at the moment, it is near dead and has fully receded.
