It only recently moved to a part of the rock where I could see it. It doesn’t appear to ever leave this rock. Need an id to know if it is reef safe/ isn’t going to outgrow it’s rock… and my tank.

I don't think it's a porcelain crab. But looks like one.

Whatever it is, it is beautiful. I've had several crabs of various types show up spontaneously (the first appeared long after my raw live rock went through decay and cycling), but none as pretty as that. Consider yourself lucky.

@Dolphins18 Very true look at clown crab as an example. It eats zoanthids and absorbs the toxins.

I had to a long battle of catching it to relocate it to my sump. It lost a claw, but was eating fine when I let it go in my sump.
