Craigslist Woes!!! Scammers

i still cant believe there a ppl trying to scam on craigslist.. you would think everyone knows about it but i guess there scammers hoping to find suckers..

its just annoying.. thinking you have a possible sale but no its just another scam..

Im gonna send you a check for that stuff you are selling. but I need some cash back, so when you cash the check, put the extra in an envelope and send it to me with my stuff.

or better yet, Ill have my logistics person Kimbojuu pick the stuff up he will have a cashier check with him plus a little extra.

I can say that I have never gotten an email like that but I do get them from scammers pretending to be paypal and ask for my info. I just send a pleasant reply to those people and say really nice words. It is like calling anyone on the phone if they ask for my social I tell them where to go. But it does suck that we cant live with out this crap. It is because we have outsourced all our computer jobs overseas and tought bad people to use computers because they work cheaper.

I hate craigslist but like it as well. I have sold a lot of stuff on there. But I get the occassional scammer often. Most of the time it goes directly to my spam folder. Anything that is suspicious, I won't even reply. There's no need to give them your email. Which is another reason why I made a yahoo account to use for craigslist instead of my main email.

What I get a kick out of is the people who will will send a message about somethin' you are sellin' with...."is it still for sale?" Even when you clearly write in the beginning "If it's still listed, its still available". I never reply to them.

Or when you have something posted for say $400 and they go. then they email you with a "what is the lowest price you will take?" and you reply with something along the lines for $350. "I'll give you $100 cash and can pickup tonight." SERIOUSLY!!!

Funny thing MY buddy did on craigslist. He was selling something I can't remember. The people were from Africa emailing him. He told them they were in luck cause his friend was a model photographer and was looking for African people to come to the US to be in a photo shoot. They bought it like crazy. This went on for weeks. He told them to send pictures of them in speedos and crap. So they did. Then he told them that Americans prefer completely shaved people. They shaved their entire bodies hair and all. Then he got them to paint their faces red and blue. He messed with them for weeks and then they started demanding the money he promised them to get to America. He then ripped them a new one about being scammers and that they were the ones that got scammed. It was pretty **** funny

I had someone try to scam me I was selling a bass guitar and I got some email saying that they wanted it and I got all happy (1st and only time selling online ) then I got some bs about there out of town and we can use paypal.......it was not fun and I still have the bass mabe ill wait another 15 years before I sell lol
