Right now this crab is locked away in a bag floating in my tank awaiting sentencing.

In another forum it was a hung jury. So I came to this one to have a 2nd trial.

Can he go back to the rock where I found him? I don't have a sump or a refugium (else I would just throw it into that and be done) so this isn't a life without parole sentence it's a death sentence if found guilty. What's the verdict?

Depends on what you have in your tank, and how much you love it.

I wouldn't trust him. Guilty! Don't let him escape in to your tank never to be caught again.

+1 Guilty, almost looks like an emerald now... But he'll get bigger and then be a bigger threat in the future.

As a general rule of thumb on crabs..

Black and/or Sharp "Pincer" Claws = Bad

Yours having both, that's multiple strike-outs.

Guilty! But I vote to commute his sentence to a species tank or to someone else who wants him. :D
