Could this oddball AIO be functional as a nano reef?

Oddball AIO penn-plax tank I won, wouldn't have ever paid money for this thing. The tank was free, so extra funds to put into other equipment or livestock, I guess?I had a pico tank a few years ago that unfortunately crashed and I'd like to try saltwater again. Holds just under 11 gallons filled to the brim. Prolly more like 10 gallons with filter media, substrate, rock, etc. in there. I'm not a huge fan of the design and I'd like to get ride of the fake rock in the front if I can (it makes a pitiful "waterfall"). But I'd like to use this tank after letting it collect dust for a couple years. Could also end up using it as a terrarium or glorified plant tray. Exploring my options.

Ideas on how to best make use of this thing? Could it be a viable reef tank? I'm a fan of hanging/floating reef scapes, macroalgae, seagrasses, photosynthetic sponges, palythoa, LPS corals, encrusters.

I'm going to follow this. I wonder how this would even work as a reef tank.
You and me both. It's a strange design for a fish tank. I may be better off pulling out that rear section and using it as a riparium, get something else if I want to build a reef. That's what I'm trying to decide.

A nice Cyphastrea or encrusting Monti or GSP on the back of the top section and some little Gobies like a Cave Goby for the "tray". Toss some zoas/palys in the front portion as mentioned above. Use rock rubble and go Bare Bottom and then a Mangrove or two in the "sump" AIO section?

ETA: Bizzaro and Copperhead Cyphastreas for color, one on each side, then GSP in the middle.

Zoas do seem like a good choice for the shallow section. I appreciate the ideas! Probably won't do anything with this tank until next year though as I am preparing for a cross-country move and I already have two tanks, tons of plants, and critters to take with.
