My tank has been up since Feb this year, and Im starting to see a lot of coralline growth all over the bottom glass (barebottom tank), rocks and frag plugs). I dont see much over my back glass or the overflow tho. One weird thing tho is the coralline algae i see all are in the form of small round dots, and not the typical big patches that expand over time and take on irregular shapes. They are almost perfectly round, roughly around 2-3mm in diameter and just poke-dotted all over. They seem to grown ontop of each other as well like someone just sprinkled in some purple confetti in my tank. Never seen coralline algae grow like this.

I got my system running up in March and I’m barely seeing tiny spots on my powerhead. I was so hyped when I saw some pink. Lol

Its been like this for a while. I was expecting them to spread, not a sprinkling of confetti...probably a weird strain of coralline algae
