Coraline in a dry rock tank.

Hey everyone! I am starting up my 60G cube soon and had a wardroom about coraline algae. Since I'm only using dry rock and using coral RX to dip EVERYTHING before introducing it to the tank, how do I introduce coraline without putting in LR from a LFS? Is there a reputable vendor that sells coraline scrapings? Thanks for your help!

Try and find a local member, and get a rock from them, and scrape a bit off into your tank.

I agree with his reply. When I started my tank I just spent some money on a few pounds from lfs I never scraped the coraline into my tank but it eventually spreaded. All you need is a couple to seed your tank.

Better yet, just have someone scrape it off their glass. I do this for our LFS every time they get new LR in.

Scraping is the best way to seed the tank

Try finding a turbo snail with coriline on it, use purple up to support growth

Agree with that, seed it and feed it! (Purple up by Caribsea is amazing but you need coraline there to use it)
