stabilizing nutrients and algae has been my biggest struggle. I wish I would have listened to others to wait and add corals after the ugly stage. Trying to fight algae while keeping a few frags alive at the beginning led to prolonging issues and eventually losing most of those initial frags.

Most of my bleaching issues have resulted from low nutrients and high lighting/alk. So usually I immediately work to increase nutrients and temporarily reduce lighting. But, very important to not make system wide changes for a single coral. If all are doing good except 1, consider moving that coral instead

Depends. If they're bleaching I'll get them a little shade or move them lower in the tank. If they're turning white from flesh peeling I'll figure out what's causing it.

I don’t bleach my coral but when I do I just rinse it off well and add some dechlor to make sure it’s clean.

My first go around, even if I tried , could not bleach a coral. But with a new found knowledge of lighting, will take precautions to prevent this. Coral placement can change based on lighting needs so I need to stay flexible to keep them alive.

I would say to make sure to do your researches, ask others about their experiences/advices with corals, and have patience.
