stabilizing nutrients and algae has been my biggest struggle. I wish I would have listened to others to wait and add corals after the ugly stage. Trying to fight algae while keeping a few frags alive at the beginning led to prolonging issues and eventually losing most of those initial frags.DAILY QUESTION: What advice would you give to a new coral grower starting out in the hobby?
Most of my bleaching issues have resulted from low nutrients and high lighting/alk. So usually I immediately work to increase nutrients and temporarily reduce lighting. But, very important to not make system wide changes for a single coral. My first go around, even if I tried , could not bleach a coral. But with a new found knowledge of lighting, will take precautions to prevent this.
