DAILY QUESTION: What methods do you use to increase coral polyp extension?

I don't do anything, seriously. I have a ton of flow and that probably does it more than anything that I can think of.

Interesting question. Way back when, FAMA, TFH, The Reef Aquarium series by Sprung/Delbeek, Aquarium Corals by Borneman and The Modern Coral Reef Aquarium series by Fosså/Nilsen and lots of trial and error. Today, mainly R2R, Tidal Gardens and a few trusted YouTubers.

I'm not sure I'm getting the best colors, but I will tweak my lighting a bit until I like the way something looks.

Keeping stable nutrients. It seems as soon as have things good, and getting good growth, I hit some kind of set back. A power outage, or disease/pests, or a piece of equipment stops working. Then it throws everything off
