Coral colour for new sps

Hello All I need some help

I got a few frags is sps from a week it’s in my tank when will they come to orignal colour right now it’s in this shape

No telling, depending where the frag came from it might never look like what you saw.

Online guys photoshop all the time, if it’s from your lfs then tank parameters, lighting it may look very different.

I often buy the crappiest colored frags and get then to color out in my tank it sometimes is a crap shoot.

Alkalinity, phosphate, nitrate, lighting, flow, even age of tank can effect the color of SPS.


I've had frags color up within a week, and others take a couple months. It's really coral dependent. Heck my walt disney is nice and colorful, but has not grown a millimeter in over a year in my tank.

One year for mine this month.
