I have been having isses with my Chalices receding and other minor coral issues. I sent in water and recently got back the readings from and on-line water test company. I found out my copper level was 0.08 mg/l and is high. I quickly placed Cuprisorb into my sump to lower this level. I never added any copper based products/RX to my water and I also use RO water. So I guess it leached from the rocks or maybe from a LFS when fish was purchased.

I do have a few questions. Most products and sites list copper in ppm. So what is .08 mg/l in ppm?

I read you need to use the same brand test kit as the copper remover or the reading will not be correct. Is that true or is that just a selling gimmick?

Hmmm wonder where it is coming from. Have you tested the water straight from the RO unit?
