Hi everyone, I have a 55 gallon saltwater. Its 2 months old and I eventually want to get corals (probably by the end of the year). I currently have 2 clowns, 2 banggaii cardinals, 1 blood shrimp, and hermit crabs and snails. I want to add these:

1 royal gramma
1 purple firefish
1 lawnmower blenny (appreciate any orher compatible sand sifter/algae eater)
1 purple tang

thank you!!

Tank isn’t large enough for a purple tang. They can get to 9” so at least a 100 gallon.
lawnmower my favorite for Algea, but doesn’t sand sift have a starry blenny in another tank but he is much more aggressive than the LM. Diamond goby good for sand sifting.

Scopus tang stays smaller and not very colorful but I like them a lot. Might research as there are some tangs that can work. Otherwise a pigmy angel can work in a 55.
I like 3 or more of the fire fish together. They are really neat and hang together.

Clown fish is a general good start, I introduced 4 X fire fish, besides the fact you say X 1 each I'm unsure.
I'm looking at cardinal's as they are easy to keep.

Think about your lifestyle, pick and choose what you can manage and keep within your life/ time available

If youre after a sand sifter, an engineer goby will for sure do that! Lots of people dont like them cause they flick sand everywhere and constantly are making mounds. I have one baby right now and boy she shifts sand like crazy. But shes also very cool and starting to change her color. They do get very long and do look like an eel, but spend most of their time tunneling. If you do consider one make sure rocks are secure and a base layer is put on the glass then sand around it. This is my girl Squirt!
