Thanks!Many fish change colors when they “sleep.” (Not drastically) but many have subdued colors or stripes/spots or brown pigments that come out more when the lights go out to help camouflage them while their defenses are down. My yellow stag horn damsels have black stripes/bands that show up, my yellow rabbit fish turns a muddy brown, etc.
Interesting!Never noticed it but salt water fish can change colors -- my wrasse changes colors when its ticked.
