This has been a build in the works. I can't wait to get this up and running. I have seen numerous build threads that have great ideas and photos that in hope I can help someone else out on there build. I have been in the hobby for five years or so. Started with a small nano and have been upgrading ever since. When you break the old tank down its like its a new start improving things that you have learned or seen. So here goes. I have been working on it for about a month or so but have been busy with work. I hope to get the tank up and cycling in the next few week or so. Let me know your thoughts.

A little about the build
-leemar 48x30x22. Beananimal overflow with notch down back panel
-elite aquatics custom sump 38x20x18
-reef octopus diablo dc200 skimmer
-reeflow dart hybrid gold
-ati 48" 8 bulb dim-able
-home made steel stand then powdercoat skin with maple dark black stain
-additional flow 2 mp40s

Going to do a bare bottom with starboard for this one!

Will update as build progresses

Also want to say thanks for all the people helping me out with this build and those inspiring me with there build threads!

THANKS Keith

Everything is top notch! Love the tank. Looking forward to seeing it all come together. Would love to replace my 7 year old Oceanic 140 with something similar to that. Will be following this build...

Got some plumbing done and a water test. I thought I would paint the pipe with krylon fusion make it look a little crazy. Here is a few

The pump works great. I had to dial it down a little bit. The flow that I am getting through my sump is amazing. I would definitely recommend this pump.

Just A few updated picks. Got the scape done and it's wet. Should have the light this week.

A look from the top down. Pretty happy the way it turned out. Can't wait to get some picks with the light up. :))))

Wow show quality sump and pluming.
On your sump what is going on with the small section between the skimmer and return section.
Are the holes just for micro bubbles?
And
what are the red rings, look like supposed to hold a pipe or something, But for what?

Also as a comment would recommend a union on pump output for pump cleaning, you will thank your self a year from now.

That plate with the holes came with the sump. Not using it. The last 2 chambers are filled full of live rock. The red rings are gate valves. Have one for the bean animal overflow, one to adjust the flow to the tank and the two small ones for reactors if needed. Won't have to worry about running separate pumps.

I think coral was referring to what looks like the heater brackets with the red o-rings.

Ahh cool heater holders. Thanks. Hadn't seen that feature yet.

Yes the pressure that that pump provides is great for a manifold to power reactors. (Have same setup)

Thanks. Also forgot the check valve has a union for maintenance along withe the ball on the intake to isolate the water in the sump.
