Look forward to my sharing my build over the next year and hopefully learn a ton from you all in the meantime. Please add suggestions or comments along the way!!

12/28/20 Ordered Waterbox Marine X 110.4 , not yet shipped

12/28/20 - 1/23/21 Planning phase: 50+ hours of research, I feel like I still have a lot to learn. Here we go, everything I could think of...

Tank will go up against this wall -- a large utility closet is right behind which will be ideal for sink/drain/mixing station

Small stainless sink will go to left of water heater with new drain installed. I don't plan to have a custom sump, just using the Waterbox sump under the the DT for now. RO/DI system (BRS 5 stage PLUS --100 GPD 1/23/21)

Plan to add a 20 amp dedicated circuit and another two outlets, one on the outer wall and one on the utility side.

Do you think its safe to have those electrical boxes close to the sink? They will be GFCI. Will need to add some waterproof material to cover the wall/studs, any ideas appreciated.

Today, I had a utility sink installed which required digging out a drain for the new sink. Plan to run direct water supply line to RO/DI and have the waste water plumbed into the drain pipe.

Also installed a plastic backer onto the studs to avoid splashes onto exposed electrical circuit.

I also heard from Waterbox today, they expect my tank to ship in about 1-2 weeks!

Still no word from Waterbox, but in the meantime I am finishing up the prep work. Installed 2 dedicated 20a GFCI circuits, one on wall and one in utility room. Sink is in and plumbed copper 1/4" coldwater output for RO/DI. Plan to install RO/DI this weekend.

Received my tank and moved into the basement this weekend. Waterbox stand not too bad to piece together, but adjusting the door hinges was a pain. Here's the final placement. I added some LED tapelight to light up the sump.

nice scape! - I'm about a month behind you, still waiting for my MarineX 110 (black stand also).

I found the one good thing about waiting over a month to get the tank delivered is it forces one to plan properly... I see you have definitely done that. Since this is a hobby the planning is part of the fun! Did you end up cycling your rock while you waited? I'm going on week 3 of my Caribsea rock in a Brute.

I didn't get a chance to do it, but would have been a good idea. Hoping to get the cycle started next few days. Slowing filling up containers of RO/DI. Picked up salt, live sand and a return pump today. Got everything plumbed.

Hi doc, might start working on a controller board while I wait for the tank - what are the inner dimensions of the left side inside the cabinet (the compartment without the sump)?
19" inches deep 30" tall 13" wide by my measurements. If need exact details let me know cause the door hinges take up some of that space.

Update my build:

Filled up the tank with RO DI and leak tested.

Added return pump Current USA Efflux 1900 gph.

Added (1) Finnex 500 titanium heater/contoller and set to 78.

Added two Radion G5 XR 15 "Blue" lights (currently off)

Added two Vortec MP40 wave pumps to the back wall of tank.

Added Red Sea Coral Pro salt to 1.025.

Added 80 lbs Carribsea Life Rock

Added (2) 20 lb bags of Caribsea Live Sand, 1 Fiji Pink and 1 Reef Sand. (Oops I didn't read the labels carefully, but looks kinda cool when mixed). Hopefully this will clear up in a few days!
