Hello everyone. Picked up a chocolate tang the other day from my lfs and at the time I didn’t notice it but it seems the skin has worn away on his upper lip.
I’m guessing it’s from picking on rocks and or the glass which has coralline on it. Through I would check to see if this is a concern? Will it grow back?
tang is eating no problem.

having a chocolate tang- It does the same thing especially trying to eat food too big for its gut. This also happens when startled as they startle easily and crash into objects.
This should and will heal on its own, just keep an eye on it

That looks like a fighting injury, more than grazing on the rocks or glass. That’s what their bodies are built for. They do it all day every day. I can’t imagine them being able to wear through their lips by doing what they were built to do. I would definitely keep an ion it, and if it starts to get worse, seek some treatment.
