It apparently was blade or glass not cool enough with water but I’ve seen worse that was fineI was drilling my tank and it happened to get a knick in it that concerns me. Should I be worried?
Aquarium sealant, silicone? The gasket doesn’t cover it all. I was using a lot of water. Going well then it popped through. It apparently was blade or glass not cool enough with water but I’ve seen worse that was fine
You can use glass rouge to smooth it out and install your bulkhead
You can apply a thin bead of aquarium sealant on both sides of gasket to assure a good contact with glass and bulkhead
Aqueon or marine land aquarium sealant . I had to do the same and no leaksAquarium sealant, silicone? The gasket doesn’t cover it all. I was using a lot of water. Going well then it popped through.
Can I repair it?Too much pressure. If the gasket doesn’t cover it then it’s a no go with using it
I ended up putting silicone on it and smoothing it out. When it cures I’ll cut it flat against the glass. Hopefully giving me a flatter surface for the gasket to sit.Larger hole and use a bigger bulkhead or silicone another piec of glass over the hole and drill in a new spot?
What could I do for this scratch under the hole? It’s deep in the sense that my fingernail catches it. Windshield repair kit? Silicone? Glue?It apparently was blade or glass not cool enough with water but I’ve seen worse that was fine

It was caused when the stupid guide I was using slipped. Allowing the bit to moveWhat could I do for this scratch under the hole? It’s deep in the sense that my fingernail catches it. Windshield repair kit? Silicone? Glue?
I was trying not to put pressure. Definitely didn’t work out. Should I worry about this scratch caused by the bit when the suction cup guide decided to move?just get a nice piece of silicon rubber that is about 1/8-3/16 thick as a gasket and it will be fine once nipped up...and i agree too much pressure towards the end
I would think a guide meant for glass drilling would be more than enough. I’ll definitely do the Perspex next time. Thank youdont worry about the scratch. its up high and not too much pressure on it...when i drill my tanks I drill a piece of perspex and gaffer tape it into position. once im a little bit into the cut like an 1/8 i remove it and keep lots of water on the bit...
Permatex sells a glass windshield repair kit which should help. Gel super glue- MaybeWhat could I do for this scratch under the hole? It’s deep in the sense that my fingernail catches it. Windshield repair kit? Silicone? Glue?
