Chemiclean didn’t work on Cyano

Anyone ever have the same problem? Treating Cyano, but it didn’t get rid of it using the chemiclean. Pic to double check and confirm that it is Cyano

Also, you may have thought of this already but I thought I’d mention, include your sump water volume in the calculations for the total volume to be dosed. For some systems this doesn’t make much difference, but for other ones this can alter the dose. Also just so you know, I’ve overdosed chemiclean into my display before at 2x the recommended dose. Didn’t cause any ill effects, on a mixed reef tank with softies, LPS, SPS and NPS. I would suggest to redose nitrifying bacteria when overdosing though.

If you look closely, theres some color variation on the pictured cyano patches. Some are more red while other parts on the left are more brown.
The redder ones are more cyano dominated, the browner ones are probably more of a mix with dino/diatoms etc.
