Hi I am changing from the GHL system to the Apex system and have some items that I will be selling. Profilux 4, KH director with 2 dosing pumps. All fully functional.

Anyone selling any Apex dosing pumps?

Photos coming soon.

I have 2 brand new in the box Neptune DOS and 2 new Neptune DDR DOS Dual reservoirs too. I was going to list them, but if you're interested, let me know.

GHL works very well but their inability to fill orders is too much now.

I did think about Hydros but do not know anything about it. Been doing some research.

That’s fair. But GHL did just come out and say they are massively ramping their US based operations. Check their forums

I would stay away from apex. The hydros maven tests everything and then some. Also hydros uses really good dosing pumps. Also the hydros equipment looks better and is easier to organize.

Hydros is so easy. It is all app based and very intuitive. All of the adjustments are dome theough drop downs or click and open windows and there is absolutley no coding. I don't know anything about Apex but from what I hear there is quite the learning curve. The people who have used Apex a lot really seem to like it though.

My personal experience with Hydros was one of plug it in download the app, set up the wifi, calibrate the PH probe and start monitoring and controlling all within 20 minutes no problem. All without ever having touched an aquarium controller ever in the past. Also Hydros has the new Maven coming out for water testing....whaaat!? I am super stoked about that thing.

I did ask them again and they told me check back again in fall. Every time I reach out it's usually check back with us in the next 2 seasons. My concern also is IF I manage to get one in fall (which I doubt) and there is a problem with it, would I have to wait another 6 months. I know they are backed up but it just seems so odd that every time I ask they say give us another 6 months.

Is it more user friendly than Apex and GHL? I have only recently started looking into it and know very little about what it offers etc.

So you currently use Hydros and like it? What system do you have and what does it test?

Too bad it's taking GHL so long to get their S together. I was originally wanting to use their controller system when I was shopping a little over a year ago. I went with Hydros though because the main thing I wanted was the IOND but it wound up back ordered for over a year. I started to email back and foreth with some of the guys from Hydros(very helpful and quick to respond) and they had mentioned that if I though the Ion D was neat that they would have something cool that I might like coming out this year. Then boom....MAVEN.

I think I will email them as well. Hopefully they can provide some information. I was also very keen on the IOND but same, it sounds like maybe next year it may be available.

So you currently use Hydros and like it? What system do you have and what does it test?
I currently have an X4 it is basic. I am only currently monitoring PH, temp and ORP. I also have a skimmer sensor and I have an X8 power strip to set up. I ran out of space with my current cabinet(only 50g tank) so I need to make more space. I am also running the Icecap/Hydros Dual pump controller that as a matter of fact runs the latest wave engine software. The dual pump controller is not fully integrated with the Hydros system it just uses their App for control. I have a gen 1 wave engine on the way.

I think I will email them as well. Hopefully they can provide some information. I was also very keen on the IOND but same, it sounds like maybe next year it may be available.
It's definately worth it. I had some questions about the Kamoer F4 doser that I emailed about. They got back to me within 10 hours(following moring) and gave me all the information I could ask for and more.

Sorry forgot to answer the first part of the question yes I like Hydros. It was so easy setting up the first couple of peices that I bought several more and just need some time to make a better board/cabinet to mount it all.

Thank you, that is very helpful information! I have a 137 Gal tank that is just over a year old. The GHL has been good to me. But I want something that I can do more monitoring with and enhance the system, and GHL does not look like it can deliver.

I have an XS module that is just basically a way to add 3 more sensors to the system. I plan on using it to monitor and run my RO system with the help of a wifi power strip. The XS is also in its own right a complete controller. If you need more sensors you can just get another module that has more sense ports. The smallest expansion module for just adding more sensor ports is the XS.

Looking online it seems many of their systems are "out of stock" has this been a problem when you wanted to get things? I just do not want to end up in the same GHL situation where I cannot get systems if I switch to Hydros.

If you check between Saltwater aquarium supply and Marine and reef you should be able to find what you are looking for. There is nothing available @ BRS because Apeture Pet and Life and Hydros just had a falling out over pricing. Due to the disagreement BRS dropped the entire Hydros line in a big FU type dump were they sold all of the equipment basically at cost. Due to this there are currently a lot of new Hydros users, and some of the equipment stock has been bought up with people setting up new systems. This should correct itself shortly.

If you choose to go the used route make sure to have the previous user delete the controller or module from there app or you will not be able to set it up on your app.
