My 8 year old male died ealier this year, and I have left my female in the DT without trying to repair her. However, I am taking down a nano that is housing a small clown I got late last spring and it maybe a year old at the most? its still about 1.25" long. I was thinking of trying to pair the two if it has a high chance of success, but will rehome it if the old female is likely to kill it.

My female is in a 5 foot long tank, so plenty of space.

The only issue is if the the 1.25 inch clown already turned female. They can become female in under 6 months housed singly or with a male. If that has occured, the big one will kill them.
