Hello,

I have a beautiful chalice that has been growing for about 4 years. It's pretty large now, almost the size of a small plate.

Unfortunately, the glue that was keeping it attached to its perch came loose and it landed on some mushrooms. I'm not sure how long it was like that. Maybe a couple of days before I noticed. The mushrooms killed off the part that it touched. Since then, it's been gradually receading.

The rest of the coral looks great, but it's receading further each day. Any idea tips to saving this coral? I'm not an expert as far as trimming these corals or anything. I'm hoping I don't have to do down that road.

(And, yes, I unfortunately have some bubble algae and nuisance anemones. I have a new clean-up crew coming today.)

Thanks!
