I probably have too many Cerith snails, about 50 in a 20 gallon tank. I am getting excess slime that I believe is from the snails. I'm wondering if the slime is causing my zoas to recede?

Depending on amount of slime which may be sperm from snails- may irritate zoas. Assure tank has adequate flow which will keep all sediment off the zoas

I decided to reduce the amount of snails by over half. Will be doing a 25% water change tomorrow hopefully my zoas will respond within a few days.
Thanks vetteguy
