I have a nano tank build, Lifeguard 7g, which is primarily a softy tank. I have a piece of rock sitting from and center that I’d like to put something eye catching on. Being such a small system I’m weary about doing any SPS or LPS but I’d like something fast growing, hardy, eye catcher, and not a bank breaker. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Do you have a picture of the spot you want to put your center piece coral?

Id stay away from lps just given their aggressiveness to nearby corals.

For softies i really corky finger for a softie. Grows relatively fast but not gsp fast and mainly upwards. Very easy to trim.

There are some more forgiving acros with some low prices. A garf bonsia comes to mind. Deep purple base bright green polyps and a price only around 20-50 dollars. One of the easier sps, i find them more forgiving that stylophora or pocilopora personally. And a very good grower.

PM me. I have a purple corky gorgonian too
I appreciate the offers. I’m going to need to do some more research on these suggestions before I decide to pull the trigger or not. I’m still weighing SPS because I have a black clown goby and I know they naturally host things like acro and get pick at the branches.

I have two suggestions and these are pics out of my tank so you can get a sense of color and growth. I reccomend a birdsnest any variety but the one I have is a teal as well as birds of paradise. Or If you really want like a legit sps the Garf Bonsai is great or a sarementosa. If you are local I don't mind helping you out with a piece to try out :)

Personally I’d avoid an acro in a 7 gallon tank. Not too many SPS will survive a tank this small. The purple stylo is very hardy if you are going to try a stick.
