Hi , i had this flower for 2 a 3 ish weeks. It did great until a few days ago .
It started closing up and showing skeleton during night.

Can a seachem dip help out with this , are there any known bacterial problems with these corals ?
I do notice it spitting out white mucus .
Before all this it was a easy feeder

I must admid i did not dip this coral before placing in the tank with red sea dip .

Thanks in advance

So .
Just to hold a log of progress or outcome i will post some information .
I did yesterday a dip in red sea dip x . This morning i did also dip in seachem dip 2x recommended dose for 15 minute's . After that i have seen alot of white mucus , probably a reaction on the seachem dip .
I will wait for any decline or recovery and as a last result a RO dip if needed .

IME & O Elegance corals rely mostly on a rich established microbiom. I have killed a few of them. However now I dose carbon heavily and I guess my tank have aged to support them long term. I use Tropic Marine carbon dosing and my two elegance have been doing great with n my DT for about two years now. BTW they love fresh mussels .
Mind you that carbon dosing is not to reduce nutrients but more to support a proper microbiom

It looks better, but still not as it should. Also, these guys like decent flow:
I have two; the one on the right is obscured by a Sarcofiton.

Be careful carbon dosing if you already have low nutrients, they can bottom out fast. I like pns pro bio and yellow sno (not sure of availability outside of USA though) as it is pretty easy on the tank and i never have seen negative results while dosing it. Great for helping a tank establish a healthy microbiome
