Hello,
Old timer in the hobby and need advice.
I’ve had this green carpet anemone for years now and never had any issues until the last couple of weeks. It’s pushing out its mouth over and over. It’ll go back to normal and then push it out again. At first I thought it was trying to crap out something it couldn’t digest but now I’m not so sure. It’s been stuck in replay for a couple of weeks now. Any ideas?

Sometimes they get stuck like this. Almost like a feeding response even though there isn't any food. Usually they'll "reset" within a couple of weeks. You can also try doing a water change, since there may be something in the water that is causing the feeding response.

Thanks. I’m due a water change this week.

I just noticed something in the photo. Is that a large leather next to the haddoni? How long have you had them together? Sometimes leathers cause anemones to do strange things.

They’ve been there since I bought the carpet. At least 2 years.
